8 Lipstick Hacks For Small Lips And Want Fuller Look

Applying lipstick can be one of the most intimidating parts of using makeup especially for some of us who have small lips. While none of us want to have any sort of lipstick fails of severely over lined lips or uneven lines, many of us are left clueless about how to actually apply lipstick and achieve a full look. Tons of women want fuller lips like Kylie Jenner and are willing to spend money on those enhancements.

With our helpful hacks, you can finally achieve full lips and make your small and itchy lips appear bigger. Here are 8 Lipstick hacks for small lips that want a fuller look:

1. Prep Your Lips

Apply lip balm or a cotton swab to coat your lips with Vaseline or aquaphor. Let it stand for at least 5 minutes to leave it soak into your lips and keep it moisturized and hydrated. Move on to the next step by gently scrubbing your lips with a tissue or towel to help loosen dead or dry skin. The minor swelling part will actually give your lips a fuller look.

You can also exfoliate your lips by using a toothbrush and move gently in tiny circles all over your lips. Brushing the lips will encourage good blood flow and will make them look full. Make sure to keep in mind that the skin will be very sensitive to remember to keep them hydrated with lip balm.

2. Apply Foundation as Lip Primer

Use a light amount of foundation to set your lips primer. This will make your lip color last longer and a smooth application so it won’t wear off.

3. Use A Short Eyeliner Brush to Spread Lipstick

In the past, applying lipstick was a simply process that can be applied without ombré effects and no formed outline. Now, lipstick is all about precision and drama. To achieve a precise lip look, use a brush to spread your lipstick – more precisely, the brush for your eyeliner! The result will leave more accuracy and precision as if you are to use a lip pencil. This will also help you achieve the perfect Cupid’s bow shape on the upper lip.

4. Grab Tissue and Some Glitter Lipstick

There’s an old-age trick where you take one or two tissues and gently place it on your lips and power the top with transparent power. This was meant to make your matte lipstick stable and longer lasting. Another trick is to add some glossy glitter. The glitter will make your lips subtly shiny and keep lipstick on longer without fading.

Dab the gloss in the middle of both your upper and lower lips. You can use the same shade of your lipstick color or use a clear lip gloss. This will create the effect of picking up light and making your lips look fuller.

5. Overdraw the Lines of Your Lips Effortlessly

Believe it or not, Kylie Jenner’s pouty lips may come from enhancements beyond makeup. But there’s no doubt that she takes full advantage of her lip liner to make her pout appear bigger. Give it a try and use a lip liner that will match your lipstick. Make sure to slightly trace the outer line of your natural lip line and fill your lips in with matching shades of lipstick. You can always just use the liner for your whole lips.

For a bolder look, use concealer to hide your natural lip line. Or use a natural shade of lip liner to make our lips look more natural.

6. Avoid Dark Shades of Lipstick

Dark shades will flatten and even hide the appearance of your mouth. It will make your lips appear smaller and reduce the size. Plump your lips, make your lips look naturally fuller by using a pale pink shade or even a nude. These shades are not only hot this season, but will make you look great too.

Try applying two different shades of nude lip colors by applying one shade over your lips and use a lighter shade in the middle. You can even use a white lip crayon for a bigger lip effect. If your lips are bigger on top or vise-versa, you can apple the light shade to the opposite lip for a well-balanced look.

7. Contour the Lips a Shade Darker to Emphasize Your Lips Natural Shadow

Contouring is only meant for the full face. Contour the outer lines of your lips to achieve a fuller lip look. It will definitely add drama to your pout and enhance the appearances of the lips.

8. Use Concealer

To make your lip color pop, use concealer to line the outside of your lips after applying lipstick. For harsh lines, clean it up using a concealer brush. You can also use concealer to create a faux canvas and spread over your lip line. This will make your lips appear larger.

Whether you’re looking to learn new tricks or just a beginner, these helpful hacks will make all the difference in your look. Remember to use hairspray to remove lipstick stains by simply spraying the area, let it set and rub.
